"I was caught off-guard in my first meeting that Blood Brothers was a men’s ministry leading men to live a life following God. I took a little kit of stuff home, sat on the couch with Becca (my wife), and said, “I don’t know what I just signed up for, but I don’t like it.” She urged me to give it some time.
Oh, boy, I had no idea what was about to happen.
I read a book cover to cover in a matter of days (something I hadn’t done since college). That book opened my eyes to the possibility and definition of a masculine Christian man.
I genuinely prayed for the first time in my life.
I bought a Bible and now own 3. I start every day by reading the Word and praying, every day.
I took off the façade and openly shared my true self and challenges with other men. I was open to their help. I now engage my Braid brothers regularly, share life experiences and invest in cultivating relationships. I look to these men as role models, guides, and confidants for my faith journey.
