Most Men Don’t Feel Confident They Can Disciple Another
There’s a common misconception that if you lead others to Jesus, it will take a church, a program, a pastor, or at least a ministry degree. If you are on church staff, you have probably felt this expectation from others. If you aren’t a church leader, you may have experienced feeling inadequate to lead others to Jesus. The good news – Jesus didn’t start his movement on the backs of the best-trained spiritual leaders. Quite the opposite. He chose the religious school dropouts, and he discipled them. Then he left them to do the work he started, but equipped them with the Holy Spirit.
At Blood Brothers, we believe EVERYMAN is called to use his passions, talents, time, and abilities to reach others for God. But looking around, so many more men need to live out their Godly potential than they are now.
That’s where the EVERYMAN CHALLENGE comes in. We equip you to lead your own guys through this 6-month challenge to discover what it means to love God with everything and to lead others to do the same. Throughout the challenge, guys do many things churches like to see them do – praying, memorizing scripture, in community with other men, and considering how they love Jesus and those around them. So what gives? The Everyman Challenge has a way of speaking a guy’s language – no matter his interest or employment – and awakens them to something so much greater than they ever imagined. It engages them shoulder-to-shoulder in the work of the Father and equips them with an authentic community of men who have each other’s backs. These elements combined bring a man the opportunity to surrender to Jesus’ call in his life.
