Some men attend conferences, retreats, and large gatherings to help hone their focus… and there is nothing wrong with that, but I go to the mountains.
For me, there’s something special about the way God’s beauty and creation found in the wilderness speak to my heart. The lack of noise. The lack of craziness. The lack of human production. The stillness caters to a cadence that slows down and focuses my ever-wondering mind.
The adventures that live in the Colorado Rocky Mountains have drawn me for years into deep stories where God has shaped my heart. Over that time, I’ve taken more and more individuals to experience this same life-changing and spirit-aligning adventure. It has long been a desire of mine to expand opportunities.
God has given me a gift and increased my ability greater than ever to allow others to experience what I have. We now have exclusive access to a 20-acre private property nestled against the San Juan National Forest in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. The property has lodging and endless opportunities with millions of public-access acres.
I am excited to invite you into this adventure and hope that’ll join me.
Surrendered to the call –
Ben Steiger
Crest the Summit (CTS) is an immersion-based ministry of Heart of the Outdoors to help men tap into their Godly potential. A CTS event can range from a weekend retreat to a five-day event. CTS is for men 18 and older and is an opportunity to draw closer to God and into community with other men.
Men are bored, tired, over-committed, and under immense pressure. It may be worse for Christian men – trying to be dutiful, service-oriented, lead their families, and love their neighbors and enemies… that’s a lot of plates to spin. A healthy dose of outdoor adventure, manly work, and fun, mixed with transparent discussion, some targeted teaching, and times of quiet reflection is often the fuel needed to encourage men to new heights in their life long adventure of loving God completely – Heart, Soul, Mind, and Strength.
Men who are sick and tired of being sick tired with any aspect of their life and are ready to move beyond desire in their pursuit of Christ.
A typical event will be fun and challenging with passionate speakers and teaching, meaningful discussion, great food, unique physical/adventure-based activities, work projects, and survival/adventure-based training. – all set within an unexpected display of God’s magnificent creation.
